Steve Emerson, a so-called “terrorism expert” talking-head on Fox News, asserted that the city of Birmingham, England, is totally Muslim and that it is a place where non-Muslims don’t go”. Fox News later had to apologise. Census data from 2011 indicated 22% of the population of Birmingham identified themselves as Muslim. The Prime Minister called him an idiot.

Meanwhile, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said she is suing the US broadcaster after it broadcast similar comments about the city in the aftermath of terror attacks. (BBC News)

I wonder whether Mr. Emerson’s remarks were a slip of the tongue? Could they be part of an agenda, quite possibly to do with immigration? Who knows? All you can go on is the tenor of misleading opinion broadcast previously.
