Nationalism

It was nationalism that led to the First World War, and it is nationalism that continues to roil too many nations in conflict and strife. Subtract nationalism and you are left with getting along together. Nationalism is not unlike religion in so far as it protects national elites and keeps them in place, usually getting fatter and richer.

Epicureans disapprove of the sort of rah-rah “we are the chosen race, city-on-a-hill type attitude that lead to wars.
