In order to give the illusion of peace, we are creating strongmen who run their own fiefdoms and prisons, and who will turn on each other in due course as soon as American forces are reduced and confined to bases to protect the oil we want. Relative peace reigns in Mesopotamia, for the time being . What we will have done is to turn Iraq over to a dozen warlords instead of one (e.g Saddam Hussein) The dishonest commentators will then be able to hammer the next Administration when the chickens come home to roost. I like the baby-munchers. These people don’t care about the bloodshed and the loss of life and livelihoods (of moslems). They just suck up all the extremist propaganda and recite it back . Were there to be good education ever again, some of these people might be taught to think things out for themselves.
