Jewish and Arab religious leaders against Gay Pride
Rabbis, Arab-Israeli sheiks object to holding Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem; ‘if gays will dare approach Temple Mount during parade – they will do so over our dead bodies,‘ Arab MK Sarsur says. Leading American Rabbi Yehuda Levin organized a Jerusalem conference attended by both Jewish and Arab religious leaders who expressed their staunch objection to holding the Gay Pride Parade in the capital.
Epicureans are content to live alongside people of all persuasions as long as they do not advocate hatred, violence and, obviously, unprovoked war.
These religious hate-mongers, relatively small in number though they may be, never discuss the most important issue for the survival of mankind and the planet – – chronic over-population. Indeed, all religions preach the sanctity of life while effectively, long-term, extinguishing it. At the very least they reduce the quality of it for everyone. The short-sightedness and stupidity of all this, backed by the stony silence of the media and the politicians, is staggering.
When the Earth is finally inhabited by its last remaining scavenging tribe what will chiefly be remembered is the careless way in which mankind has multiplied without let or hindrance. This will be viewed as chiefly the fault of the major religions.
I am at times thoroughly embarrassed by the ignorance and prejudice of those who demonstrate these destructive traits under the banner of Christianity. Where is the mercy, love and concern for people that Jesus taught? Politically incorrect, I know, but in fact homosexuality is a genetic predisposition which interacts with early hormonal uterine environment. This is a recent scientific ‘discovery’ which St Paul would not have known about, but we should.
How dare anyone condemn anyone whose sexual orientation is not originally of their choice.
Good for you! I especially agree when you discover that some of these preachers of virtue have themselves being doing things with little boys. Oh, and then not apologising. Not only not apologising but in some cases trying to cover it all up. If you decide your clergy are going to be unmarried in order to avoid your having to paying for the upkeep of wives and children, you really ought to modify your teachings on homosexuality, because that’s what celibacy encourages.
