People tie themselves in knots trying to answer this one. In case of dead silence and no response, may I take it that this logic is sound? In which case can we stop lauding and fawning over the arch-priest, the bishop of Rome, and call him what he is: CEO of the cleverest, longest-surviving corporation in the world?
If you believe in free enterprise the Catholic church is a great example of offering the public what they want, while living in luxury, surrounded by some of the most beautiful and valuable art in the world. The problem is that the dividend comes in the next world. Clever, yes?
