Be mindful of nurturing unnecessary grief and being stuck in old pain. Sadness and difficulties should let go. A philosopher must learn the art of dismissal, along with the art of recollection. of happy times, nice people and good experiences.
Easier said than done. With experience comes wisdom, and one should learn from grief and difficulty and do better next time, if possible. On the other hand, there are few more trying people than those who go on endlessly about old events that damaged, hurt or offended them. It isn’t good for you if you become like that, and it certainly won’t be popular among your friends and family. So have your gripe, tell your story, and then keep quiet!
