Life should be an aim unto itself, a purpose unto itself. (Montaigne). Montaigne was both a Skeptic and an Epicurean. He believed in “human flourishing”, in peace of mind, in tolerance towards others, and in love of nature. He is famous for his ceaseless self-questioning. We need more people like him.
