Britain and booze

According to the Institute of Child Health, which followed 11,000 Brits born in 1970, those who drank heavily by their mid-teens faced social and medical problems, such as alcoholism, illegal drug use, mental illness, homelessness and criminal convictions, before they were 30.  Recent British government figures show that 21% of those aged  11-15 now admit drinking alcohol.

Epicureanism is the philosophy of moderation – – moderation in everything one does.  Contrary to the image put about by Catholic writers, Epicurus especially warned his followers against over-indulgence in food and drink. 

Truth plods along, but a self-serving lie speeds round the world in a instant!
