Blind chance rules ,O.K?

“I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all”.  Ecclesiastes

This is why Epicureanism is so intelligent.  Praying to a god to intervene in one’s petty private life, to win a contract or to secure a parking place, is gambling, hope against hope and pure superstition, unworthy of an  educated nation.   To be an Epicurean, on the other hand,  is to be self-reliant and to seek happiness where one can find it, not relying on crowds conforming to the rules laid down by rulers and priests.  It is to make your own “luck” and to keep your own counsel, without fear and as little anxiety as is humanly possible.

  1. As I’ve said before, we are living in the Endtime! The Battle of Armageddon is drawing closer in the Middle East, as our President rightly confronts Iran. Is Iran the Beast, as foretold? Certain it is that many will then experience Great Tribulation before the Rapture occurs! Babylon the Great too will burn! Tehran or Baghdad are the modern Babylons. The Jews are waiting to demolish the Mosque in Jerusalem and re-establish Solomon’s Temple, so that they can resume the Daily Sacrifice, once they have eliminated the moslems, and especially the Iranians. Book of Revelation is a fact! Jesus Christ is coming for His children, and He will lead us into the Millennium! His servant and forerunner is George W. Bush, chosen to finally begin the Endtime events of the Apocalypse.

  2. Nobody prays to get a parking place. Come on! That’s typical of non-believers. As for “conforming”, look, when you take Jesus as your Lord you do it as an individual. You don’t do it because all your friends and the people at church on Sunday do it, or your pastor. It’s the most significant and personal thing you can ever do. And as for fear, becoming born-again relieves you of all fear. Why fear when you will go to Jesus at the endtime? You talk about lack of fear, but you have no moral basis to your life, so how can you not be full of fear?
