Alleluyah! Good news! The Church of England has at last agreed to the appointment of women bishops in the Church of England! Women bishops will now be able to ordain priests. Nonetheless, there are still opponents who say that this is not only unacceptable but “theologically impossible”.
why?
Epicurus treated women exactly as he treated men, and 2,300 years later we still have this ridiculous religious prejudice against women that recurs throughout several world religions. If this is “correct” theology, give me humanism and the common sense of Epicurus! But at least a majority of the good old C of E has caught up with the 21st Century.
I cannot understand why men tie themselves into illogical knots trying to maintain control over everything. Women are quite capable of running a church, especially one with almost no congregation. How much more grown up it would be if men handed over all the work, along with the politics and stress, and sat quietly with a nice glass of wine, contemplating a beautiful garden, created and maintained, of course, by a loving wife!
