That is, the Moslem religion now and the Catholic religion at the time of the Reformation . The good old Church of England was the bedrock of the Empire, collapsed when the Empire collapsed but didn’t quite have the ooomph to start a war for itself. Shame about the C of E – – I have a sentimental attachment to it.
We have been attacked by people with unsafe ideological bases from both our own country and Moslem countries. There is not much to choose between them, except that so far the the religious right in the US has not quite adopted suicide bombing. When they find out at the next election that they have been totally rejected, who knows what will happen though.
