Life as an adventure

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little coarse, and you may get your cost soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get rolled I the dirt once or twice? Up again, you shall never be so afraid to tumble.”

Epicurus believed that the greatest objective in life is happiness, peace of mind and tranquility (ataraxia in Greek), freedom from fear and from anxiety.
He also told us that we only live once and that we should live that life to the full. To reach the end of your life and to feel you haven’t made the most of it is a dreadful outcome. Each of us should follow our interests and test our abilities, hoping to discover hidden abilities and talents. To fail to do so is a waste.
