In what way can you exemplify the "usefulness" –whichever way YOU may define it– of Epicureanism?
–emphasizing friendship circles and limiting action to a very local level–tending to one’s (shared) garden and helping to build social capital among friends or maybe just acquaintances.
–fostering tranquility based on understanding of how the world works, and not through transcendence- -well-being beyond the acquisition of knowledge for its own sake or for advancing ones career or status
–relying on the pleasure/pain calculus for decision making
