How many times have you wondered “when is so-and-so going to get back to me?  Are they on holiday? Did they get hat email?  Or are they disorganized or just rude?

I think Epicurus would advise us to avoid people who cause aggravation, inconvenience or anxiety, with the proviso that sometimes they are not to blame but are the victims themselves of circumstances beyond their control or simply didn’t get the message . In which case, patience and understanding are the order of the day.  Judge not that ye be not judged.

Common sense?  Yes, of course, but since when has sense been common?
